2001 7s Action

Eagle Chip Curtis provided attacking options throughout the USA's Rugby World Cup of 7s campaign in January 2001. The flyhalf is shown here, half way through a 50m scoring run against Wales.
Chip Curtis takes on a Welsh tackler in a crucial RWC7s pool game that the USA could not control, allowing the Welsh to claim a 19-10 win in the last minute.
After joining the USA national team program in 2000, prop Alex Magleby is quickly making a name for himself on the World 7s circuit. Magleby was part of the RWC7s squad and the sensational Wellington 7s side.
At 6'7" prop Matt Kane gave the USA a real physical presence at the 7s Rugby World Cup. Proving near unstoppable from close range, he scored three tries for the Eagles.
